Do you try to set New Year Resolutions every year? If you are like most people, you most certainly do. A few people may actually accomplish their goals, but many people fail. Do you know what all these people have in common?
My guess is they feel they have to achieve either a new goal or accomplish the failed goal. They will be searching for a new goal to accomplish and then another goal after that. What if I said, “New Year Resolutions may not be the way to go?” Then what is? This has been my “aha” that I learned from Sheva Carr, the founder of HeartMath’s HeartMastery Program.
Ask yourself: What feelings, emotions and attitudes do I want to feel in this upcoming year? For me it was healthy, valuable, joy, gratitude and connection. What about you? If you would like, you can use your New Year’s Resolutions as a starting point or cast them aside. Ask yourself: What feelings do I want to carry inside of me for the upcoming year? By answering that one question, you have given yourself a priceless gift – you know that you possess that magical power to create from within.
Hope you have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
